Our History
Under the guiding hand of our founder, Dr. H.B. Logan, Logan College of Chiropractic opened its doors in 1935, welcoming a class of seven chiropractors-to-be. Within a year, the school had outgrown its Central West End home and relocated to Normandy, MO. After 37 years of growth, Logan acquired the 112-acre campus of the Maryknoll Junior Seminary, and in 1973 the school welcomed students to its current location in Chesterfield, MO. Just nine years later, the Montgomery Health Center opened on campus, named in honor of Logan’s longtime anatomy instructor and alumnus, Dr. Dale C. Montgomery.
In time, Logan University grew into one of the world’s leading chiropractic and health sciences colleges. Providing critical hands-on training for the university’s 800+ Doctor of Chiropractic students, the Montgomery Health Center and our Mid Rivers Health Center in St. Peters, MO provides about 40,000 patient visits.
